The Anchor will be offering the vocational program Computing Support (should numbers warrant) in January 2012. Learn computer repair skills, networking, basic programming, building websites, databases, all versions of Windows, MS Office, etc. This 1800 hour program will make you shine in ALL of these areas. The graduates of the Computing Support program gathered at the Optimist Chalet in New Carlisle this past Saturday, in order to celebrate their wonderful achievement. The entire grad party was funded by the students throughout their 1800 hour program by various fund raising activities and hard work. Beforehand they enjoyed a supper in their honor at the Rendez-Vous in Bonaventure. The decorations were courtesy of graduates Jeannine and Delilah Huntington, and the cakes were made by Delilah Huntington but were enjoyed by all. Congratulations once again to all graduates, and everyone on staff at The Anchor wish you the best of luck in all your future projects! You will all be missed.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the graduates of the Computing Support program. They have recently finished their work terms and are eager to get out into the work force. SARCA (reception, referral, guidance and support) services are available through all six of ESSB’s Adult Education and Vocational Training Centers for adults 16 years or older who do not have a first diploma. SARCA offers friendly reception services, individualized support based on your needs, referrals to community organizations, information regarding additional services relating to your goals, guidance counseling, and evaluation methods to determine your strengths. There is no charge for these services and we are waiting to serve you.
