The ESSB Schools websites are published using the freeware WordPress. Some site-specific administrative questions are answered below. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, have a look here.
Question: Where can I get the login information to access our school’s site?
Answer: Please see your school’s administrator. Your administrator should notify us who is responsible for your school’s site by e-mail.
Question: How can I change the default theme for our school’s site?
Answer: WordPress is highly customizable and it is easy to change a site’s theme. We’ve preloaded a number of themes to get you started. You can change these themes by navigating Appearance > Themes.
Question: How can I add a theme or plugin that is not already uploaded to the site?
Answer: Once you’ve received the login information for your school’s site, you will be able to upload themes and plugins through the “backend”by going to the Appearance tab.
Question: Where is the administrator’s page? I can’t find the link!
Answer: If you’re missing a link to the administrator’s page on your site, then add wp-admin after your address. For example, for http://schools.essb.qc.ca/your_school_name you should enter http://schools.essb.qc.ca/your_school_name/wp-admin.
